Leroy is an antiracism and cultural literacy educator based in London, Ontario, Canada. He joins us on this episode of The Xenolearn Podcast to discuss his work addressing racial inequalities, challenging stereotypes, and teaching cross-cultural understanding. With compassion and kindness, Leroy explains that it is ok to recognize physical differences, including skin colour. But it is what we do when we see those differences that determines the world we live in. Born in Toronto Ontario, Canada, he moved to London, Ontario, when he was 4 years old. Growing up in a community that at the time was not as racially diverse as it is now was enlightening, and interesting. This knowledge as well as other encounters lead him on a quest to build racial and cultural bridges that seeks to foster understanding.
